Q : How bright should an outdoor LCD be?
Aim for 1,000 cd/m² or more outdoors. Aim for 1,500 cd/m² or more in direct sun.

Q : Does a wide-temperature rating mean the screen works in sunlight?
No. Temperature range and sunlight readability are separate specs. Check brightness, polarizer and AR coating too.

Q : What is high resolution for a small industrial LCD?
It depends on size. For graphic LCDs, the top of the COG range is high. For TFT, XGA and above is generally high.

Q : Is a higher resolution LCD always better?
No. Higher resolution adds cost, power use and controller load. Pick the lowest resolution that keeps your content sharp.

Q : How many touch points does PCAP support?
Many modules support up to 10 touch points. Check the controller datasheet for the exact number.

Q : Can the shape and size be changed?
Yes. Cover glass, outline, and printing can be adjusted to fit your product.

Q : Is PCAP more expensive than resistive?
Usually yes, per unit. Glass, a sensor grid, and a controller add cost. Many teams accept this for clearer images and better durability.

Q : Does water affect a PCAP screen?
It can. Water droplets may cause false touches. Controllers with water handling reduce the problem. Heavy water flow is still harder.
