How to work the Instrument Cluster
Values and settings, as well as display messages, are shown on the multifunction display.
Depending on the equipment fitted in the vehicle, you can call up the following menus: Trip, Navigation, Audio, Telephone, Assist, Service and Settings.
The Audio, Navigation and Telephone menus differ slightly in vehicles with an audio system, and in vehicles with COMAND Online. We will show examples that apply to vehicles equipped with COMAND Online.
Press and hold the [ICON] button on the steering wheel until the Trip menu is shown. You can view the following using the arrow keys on the wheel:
Average fuel consumption
Fuel consumption remaining
Eco display — for newer vehicles
To reset any of the above, bring it to the front and press ‘OK’. Then, select ‘Yes’ with OK button on the wheel to reset.
Will show you the direction you are heading. When you need to turn, it will show how far ahead it is and whether it is on the right or left.
The current station or music you are listening to will be displayed. To change, use the arrow keys on the wheel.
If your phone has been paired, you will see either Telephone ready or Telephone no service. If a call is incoming, you can either accept or reject using the call keys on the wheel. The name of caller will also appear on the multifunction display.
By using the arrow keys on the display, you can:
Show Speed Limit Assist and activate/deactivate its message function
Show the distance display
Activate/deactivate the PRE-SAFE® Brake
Activate/deactivate ATTENTION ASSIST
Activate/deactivate Blind Spot Assist or Active Blind Spot Assist
Activate/deactivate Lane Keeping Assist or Active Lane Keeping Assist
Call up display messages
Restart the tyre pressure loss warning system
Check the tyre pressure electronically
Call up when a service is due
