4 Possible Misunderstandings of LCD Displays

11.28.2023

There are a lot of things we need to know about LCD displays, so today let us correct the four misconceptions people have about LCD displays.

1. LCD display life is 100K hours

The technical information released by the LED material manufacturer shows that in the case of AUBITO, the lifetime of the LCD light emitter is 100K hours. Ambitions refer to the time it takes for a liquid crystal illuminant to emit light under constant pressure and constant current conditions in the laboratory. The amount of water in the bucket is determined by the lowest plate. LCD displays now use other devices, such as people, that have a lifespan of no more than 8 years. Because the function of the display screen is viewing, when the display screen can only be clearly seen at night, it cannot be said that it is qualified and has practical value. A car can drive for 15 years. If it sits idle for three years, it will be invalid. The environment and methods used have a significant impact on the life of the product.

2. The LCD display complies with national standards

The common standard for LCD display is a standard issued in 1995. So far, many companies claim to meet national standards, launch technology eight years later, and then look at standards, no longer standards. For example, the out-of-control point, the national standard is 3/10000, and a φ3.75 indoor dual-primary display is used as an example. Generally, the 640x480 standard resolution display is 7 square meters, with 43264 points per square meter. According to national standards, there can be 90 control points. Who pays for such a show today?

3. The LCD display software is free

The display industry has a common problem with Chinese companies-only production, not R & D. Only a few companies now have genuine software. Piracy is now illegal.

4. The LCD display is cheap

It depends on price / performance, not just price. As the grayscale of a dual-primary full-color display, the grayscale level is an important indicator. Now the market is full of fake 256 gray scales with 16 gray scale and 64 gray scale display. Its control cost is only one of the 256 grayscale controls. The easiest way is to play a VCD of a more intense sports scene and check if the LCD screen can see clearly.
